WHO CAN VOTE?
A person shall be entitled to vote at any school meeting or election for the election of school district officers, and upon all other matters which may be brought before such meeting or election, who is:
- A citizen of the United States;
- Eighteen years of age;
- A resident within the district for a period of thirty days next preceding the meeting or election at which he offers to vote;
- No person shall have the right to vote at any school meeting or election who would not be qualified to vote at an election in accordance with the provision of Section 5-106 of the Election Law.
¿QUIEN PUEDE VOTAR?
Una persona tendra derecho a votar en cualquier reunion escolar o eleccion para la eleccion de funcionarios del distrito escolar y sabre todos las demas asuntos que puedan presentarse ante dicha reunion o eleccion, que sea:
- Un ciudadano de las Estados Unidos;
- dieciocho anos de edad;
- Un residente dentro del distrito par un periodo de treinta dias inmediatamente anteriores a la reunion o eleccion en la que ofrece votar;
- Ninguna persona tendra derecho a votar en ninguna reunion escolar o eleccion que no este calificada para votar en una eleccion de acuerdo con la disposicion de la Seccion 5-106 de la Ley Electoral.
ABSENTEE BALLOT INFORMATION:
If you are planning to be out of the district during the scheduled voting hours, you may apply for an absentee ballot. The first step required is the filling out of the Application for Absentee Ballot form. The form is available in the District Clerk's Office, Room 109, in the James Kaden Administrative Offices, 60 Weston Street, Huntington Station (Phone: 631-812-3071) or it can be downloaded below. The Application for Absentee Ballot form must be received by Tuesday, May 9, 2023 if the ballot is to be mailed in, or by Monday, May 15, if the ballot is to be personally delivered and returned. Completed absentee ballots must be received by 5 p.m. on May 16, 2023.

Si planea estar fuera del distrito durante las horas de votación programadas, puede solicitar una boleta en ausencia. El primer paso requerido es rellenar el formulario de solicitud para la boleta de ausencia.
